Terms of Use

Effective date: October 17, 2026

Please read this first

Alarmcast works hard to ring on time, but no phone alarm can be guaranteed. A flat or switched-off phone, a system update, battery-saving settings, a permission you turn off, or a fault in the app can stop it ringing, or make it ring late or quietly.

Don't rely on Alarmcast alone when missing an alarm could hurt you or cost you: medicine, a flight, an exam, a shift, or anything to do with safety. Set a second alarm for those. Alarmcast is not a medical or safety device.

To the extent the law allows, we are not liable for loss or harm caused by an alarm that didn't ring, rang late, or played the wrong thing. See "Our liability" below.

Who we are

Alarmcast is made by Bessie Operations ("we", "us"), the developer named on its Google Play listing. By installing or using Alarmcast you agree to these terms. If you don't agree, please don't use the app.

Podcasts in the app

The shows and episodes in Alarmcast are made and owned by their creators and come from their own public feeds. We don't make, check or control that content, and a show can change, move or disappear at any time. Some shows are marked explicit by their creators. Listening is for your personal use.

Premium, purchases and trials

Premium is sold through Google Play, as a subscription or a one-time purchase. Prices, free trials, renewals, cancellation and refunds are handled by Google Play under its terms; you can cancel a subscription in the Play Store at any time. Gift codes from podcasts follow the gift code terms.

Ads

The free version shows ads, never on the alarm screen. How ad data is handled is in the privacy policy.

Changes to the app and these terms

We keep improving Alarmcast, so features can change, move or be removed in an update. We may update these terms too; the effective date above shows when. If a change is important, we'll say so in the app or on this page before it applies.

Our liability

Alarmcast is provided as it is and as available. To the extent the law allows, we are not liable for indirect or consequential loss, such as missed appointments, travel, work or income, and our total liability to you is limited to what you paid us for Alarmcast in the 12 months before the claim.

Nothing in these terms limits liability that can't be limited by law, including for gross negligence or fraud, or takes away your rights under consumer law, including South Africa's Consumer Protection Act.

The law

These terms are governed by the law of South Africa. If you live elsewhere, you keep any consumer rights your local law gives you.
